IllusionDiffusion Brief overview
IllusionDiffusion is a Hugging Face Space that generates “illusion artwork” by combining (1) an uploaded pattern/illusion image (like checkerboards or spirals) with (2) a text prompt describing the scene you want. It uses a Stable Diffusion + ControlNet workflow, including a QR-code–conditioned ControlNet (“Monster Labs QR Control Net”), to force the generated image to follow the structure of your pattern while still matching your prompt.
The Space is widely used on Hugging Face and is shown as Running on Zero (a free/queued runtime style on HF).
How to use
- Open the IllusionDiffusion Space on Hugging Face and locate Input Illusion.
- Upload a pattern image (or click one of the provided examples like checkerboards/spirals).
- Type a Prompt (what you want the final image to look like).
- (Optional) Add a Negative Prompt (what you don’t want to appear, e.g., “low quality”).
- Adjust Illusion strength to control how strongly the output adheres to the pattern.
- (Optional) Expand Advanced Options to tweak:
- Guidance Scale (how closely it follows your prompt)
- Sampler (e.g., Euler or DPM++ Karras SDE)
- Start/End of ControlNet (when control is applied during generation)
- Upscaler strength and Seed (repeatability)
- Click Run to generate the illusion image.
- If you want a saved gallery of your results, use the Past generations tab and Sign in with Hugging Face (export/delete history options are included).
