WarpFusion Brief overview
Stable WarpFusion v0.15 is a notebook-based AI workflow for turning video footage (or image sequences) into stylized, animated results using diffusion-based image generation. Instead of generating a single image, it processes frames over time and includes “warp”/consistency methods designed to reduce flicker and keep motion looking coherent from frame to frame.
This release (v0.15) focuses on improved masking controls and quality-of-life updates—especially useful when you want certain parts of a frame to stay stable (like a face or background) while other areas are allowed to change more dramatically. It is not a one-click consumer app: it’s closer to a creator/developer tool that you run on your own hardware (or a hosted runtime) and iterate on with settings, prompts, and render parameters.
Simple how-to-use
- Get the notebook file: Download the WarpFusion v0.15
.ipynbfrom the Patreon post. - Pick where you’ll run it:
- Hosted GPU (common option): Open the notebook in a GPU-enabled environment.
- Local NVIDIA GPU: Follow the project’s local install approach and run the notebook through a local runtime.
- Prepare your input: Start with a video file or an image sequence (frames).
- Set your creative direction:
- Write a prompt (and optionally plan prompt changes over time).
- Choose your model/checkpoint and quality/speed settings.
- Configure masking (optional but powerful):
- Load or create an alpha mask so the tool knows what to “lock” vs. what to “repaint.”
- Run the render: Execute the notebook cells to generate frames, then export them back to a video (optionally keeping the original audio if configured).
- Iterate: Use saved settings (and prompt replacement) to quickly test new styles without rebuilding the whole setup.
WarpFusion Key features and functions
- Alpha masked diffusion (new in v0.15): Lets you guide which areas of each frame are allowed to evolve under diffusion versus which areas stay fixed, using an alpha mask for more direct control.
- Inverse alpha mask diffusion: A quick way to flip the behavior of the mask (useful for experimenting with “subject changes” vs. “background changes”).
- Prompt pattern replacement (prompt filtering): Swap specific words/phrases automatically (and even schedule replacements by frame) so you can test new styles or concepts without rewriting every prompt.
- Save/load settings via image metadata (EXIF): Settings can be stored in output frames and reloaded later from a PNG, which helps with reproducibility and sharing setups.
- Resume-run safety: Backs up existing settings when resuming, reducing the risk of overwriting a working configuration.
- Render completion beep: Simple alert when long renders finish.
- Practical fixes: Includes updates related to video export reliability and other stability improvements noted in the changelog.
Pricing
Stable WarpFusion v0.15 is distributed through the creator’s Patreon membership tiers. Current tier pricing listed on the membership page:
- GroupAI — $1/month: Support-only tier (no access to non-public posts/notebooks).
- Derp Learning — M — $5/month: Early access and Discord access (this is the tier v0.15 was moved to).
- Derp Learning — L — $10/month: More up-to-date builds than M-tier, plus early access and Discord access.
- Derp Learning — XL — $25/month: Highest tier, described as the most unstable/preview access, plus extra perks (e.g., shout-out/credits and Discord access).
Note: Running WarpFusion can also involve separate compute costs (for example, if you choose a paid GPU runtime), since it is not a hosted SaaS with compute included.
