Humata AI is a document-focused AI assistant built for working with PDFs and other knowledge files. Instead of manually scanning long papers, reports, or contracts, you upload your files and ask questions in a chat-style interface. Humata returns answers grounded in your documents, and it can include citations that point back to the exact places in the source material so you can verify what it used.
How-to-use
- Create an account and log in to the web app (Humata is designed to be used in-browser).
- Upload a document by dragging and dropping files/folders into the upload area, or by using the upload button to select a file.
- Start asking questions immediately—Humata automatically enables the “Ask” feature after upload, so you can request a summary, extract key points, or ask specific questions.
- Ask across multiple documents by selecting multiple files/folders and using the “Ask All” option to query everything together.
- Optional: Import a website from a URL (via “From URL”) and then ask questions about the imported content.
- Optional: Configure Custom Prompts in settings to standardize how responses are written (tone, language, technical depth, etc.).

- Team — $49/user/month: Up to 10 users, 5,000 free pages/month, then $0.01/page; includes team controls like permissions plus features such as OCR and response personalization.
