If we get to a ship of theseus point; where we can slowly replace the neurons with hardware to preserve the continuity of the self, would you do it?
In general, or- Lets say in this senario, we know that youre definitely still you, but its early enough to where we know how to turn off something, but trying to turn it back on is difficult if not impossible. So you could get your pain or fear receptors shut off, but then that may have some unfors
