  4. In the meantime, lightly reheat the fried chicken in a sauce pan.
  5. Once the gravy is warmed up, add the reheated chicken in the gravy.

Alternatively, you can also reheat the entire sweet and sour chicken on the stove using a saucepan.

Tips to Keep Leftover Gravy Safe

Many people get sick every year just from eating leftover food that wasn’t stored or reheated properly. Therefore, it is essential to thoroughly reheat the cook before eating. Aside from that, follow these simple tips to keep the leftover safe and prevent you from getting sick:

  2. If reheating slices or pieces of chicken, be sure to put the meatiest and largest one on the outside of the plate and small pieces in the center.
  3. Brush your chicken in any sauces you want or lightly coat it with oil or coating mixture.
  4. Cover a microwave-safe wrap over the container.

  6. Turn the pieces to the other side and reheat for another two to three minutes.

  3. Crack all the eggs, one by one, into a bowl and then pour them, one at a time, into the non-stick frying pan while ensuring you keep them separated.
  4. Add pepper or salt to taste.
  5. Continue to cook the eggs in the non-stick frying pan without touching or stirring them. A sign of cooked eggs is when the egg white starts to set, and the edges start to curl. It should around 3 to 4 minutes.

  7. Flip back the fried eggs and serve.

*For cooking Sunnyside up, over medium, or over-easy fried eggs, you cook them for fewer minutes and don’t flip them.

  1. Pack each fried egg individually using either a paper towel or a plastic wrap.
  2. Put them into an airtight container or a sealing bag.
  3. Place them into the fridge for up to 5 days. Alternatively, you can freeze them for up to 4 months.

How to Reheat Fried Egg?

Did you know you can eat your fried eggs cold if you want to? If eating them cold doesn’t sound appetizing, reheat them in the microwave or skillet if you want. Reheating fried eggs can cause them to become rubbery, which is why following the proper reheating method is important. Follow these steps:

  3. You don’t have to flip the fried egg

With hot dogs leftover from yesterday, you don’t want them to go to waste. So, what do you do? You reheat them. You want to reheat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. When it comes to reheating, you can reheat hot dogs using multiple different ways. Let’s get to it!

Pan Fry the Hot Dogs

Apart from microwaving, pan-frying is one of the easiest reheating methods to master. Buy a pan that’s safe to place in the stove if you don’t have one already. It doesn’t matter if you cover the pan or not because it’ll take the hot dogs the same amount of time to reheat. Move the hot dogs around in the pan using a small spatula or fork to ensure all sides of the hot dogs cook evenly.

Reheat Hot Dogs in the Microwave

If you don’t have time to reheat them in a pan or to try any other reheating methods on this list, the microwave is your friend. Wrap them in a paper towel and put them in the microwave to reheat on high for 30 seconds. Split edges indicate an overcooked hot dog.  If you want to warm a hot dog bun in the microwave, place it in there for seven seconds to soften the bun.

Reheat in the Oven

We don’t suggest using the oven to reheat one or two hot dogs, as that’s not energy efficient. If you need to reheat ten or more hot dogs, place them in the oven. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and then put an aluminum foil on a baking sheet.

Put them in the oven in a single layer, covering with aluminum foil to prevent them from overcooking. Back for five minutes or until the color slightly changes. Since hot dogs cook quickly, keeping a close eye on their progress is important. Otherwise, they can’t only become overcooked, but can also get burned.

What If You Want to Eat Cold Hot Dogs?

If you are one of those who don’t care to reheat because cold hot dogs are the way to go, you can. However, the only hot dogs that you can eat cold are those that are cooked or smoked. You can keep these types of hot dogs in your fridge for up to a week. If you buy fresh hot dogs, which aren’t cooked, you need to cook them and reheat them. You can reheat the already cooked ones as well.

  • Pre heat the oven between 230° and 250° Fahrenheit
  • Reheat fried turkey for about 30 minutes in the oven

The duration may vary depending on the size of your fried turkey.

  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of reheated fried turkey
  • For an accurate reading of internal temperature, stick the thermometer into the turkey leg and turkey slices
  • If the thermometer shows an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit, your turkey is optimally reheated

Make sure all slices and parts of the turkey show this same internal temperature to ensure you reheat fried turkey evenly.

  • Pull the reheated turkey out of your oven

For best results, reheat fried turkey and serve straight out of the oven while it is still fresh and crispy. In case you have to, keep the reheated turkey warm in the oven at a low temperature for a maximum of two hours until serving time.

If you’re left with extra turkey after, refrigerate immediately.

While you can also choose to reheat using a microwave, the loss of crispiness is probably not worth it.

Similar to when you reheat meatballs in an oven, the time it takes will depend on the size of the batch. For a smaller batch, reheat on the stove for around 10 minutes, and add minutes depending on the additional number of meatballs.

Using a stove to reheat meatballs with sauce is a great way not to overcook your meatballs. Additionally, it will ensure that your meatballs don’t dry up since you’re reheating with the sauce or gravy you want to serve it with.

You can also choose to reheat meatballs using a microwave for about 2-3 minutes on high power. However, the best and most effective way is still to reheat meatballs in an oven when reheating without sauce. Use a  stove when reheating with sauce or gravy.

In these cases, you can store and reheat dumplings for future uses. The problem is that dumplings are very delicate, and can become mushy or even fall apart if they aren’t handled properly in the reheating process.

So whether you have steamed dumplings or fried dumplings, we’ll teach you how to properly store and reheat them to preserve the best texture and flavor the next time you consume them.

How to Store Dumplings?

Following are the best ways to store dumplings, whether they are fried or steamed.

1. Refrigerate

If you plan on consuming your leftover dumplings within a day, then refrigerating is the best option. Just set them on a plate or bowl, while making sure they don’t touch each other and put them in the fridge until you plan on reheating them.

2. Freeze

In case you have a larger batch of dumpling and won’t be able to consume them within a day or two, then it is better to freeze them. For this, you will have to line the dumplings on tray so that they don’t touch each other. You can also line the tray with wax paper to prevent the dumplings from sticking to it.

Then you have to flash freeze them for at least an hour. Afterwards, you can remove the tray and store the dumplings in air tight container or bags. Since flash freezing will harder the exterior, the dumplings won’t stick to each other in the bag.

How to Reheat Dumplings?

Now that you know how to properly store leftovers, the next step is to learn to reheat dumplings. Following method can be used to reheat them. Remember that frozen dumplings need to be thawed properly before going onto the following steps.

Using the Microwave

The easiest way to reheat dumplings is to toss them into the microwave. Just place them in a microwave safe container, cover it with a damp paper towel and zap them in for about 45 seconds to one minute. This may take longer in case frozen dumplings weren’t thawed enough.

Keep an eye on them to make sure you don’t overheat them.

– Steamed Dumplings

In case of steamed dumplings, preheat the skillet on medium heat, but add a few tablespoons of water to it. This will prevent the dumplings from drying out. Cover the skillet and heat the dumplings for 2 to 3 minutes, until they are fully heated before removing them from the skillet.

Set them on plate with a slight distance between them, and flash freeze for about 15 minutes. Now you can store them in an airtight container or freezer bag without them sticking to each other.

There are several ways you can try to reheat crab rangoons. In case of frozen rangoons, it is important to give them a suitable amount of time to defrost before you reheat them.

1. Stove Top

Probably the best way you can reheat crab rangoons is to do it on the stove, as this method preserves the crispiness and texture more than other methods.

All you need to do is to heat a pan on medium heat, while adding a small amount of oil so your rangoons don’t stick to the pan. When the oil is warm, add the crab rangoons to the pan and sauté them for 3 to 4 minutes

Make sure the heat isn’t too low, as this will result in a longer time to reheat, which can make them soggy and dull.

2. Oven

The second best method is to use an oven. Although sautéed rangoons preserve more texture and crispiness, this method is better if you care about preserving the flavor without ending up with sogginess.

Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees, and cover or wrap the wontons with foil. Place the covered wontons in the over and heat them for about 5 to 7 minutes. Now open the foil, and heat for an added 2 minutes to restore the crispiness.

Another step you can add is to microwave the crab rangoons for a few seconds before placing them in the oven to preserve as much texture as possible.

3. Microwave

Although this may be sort of a last resort option, you can use this method if you are in a hurry.

Microwave the crab rangoons in one-minute sets of time, while checking them at each interval and rotating them. It is necessary to keep a close eye on the rangoons, as they may end up exploding and cause a mess inside your microwave.

This method is least likely to preserve the texture or the taste of the crab rangoons, so it is only suitable to use if you don’t have the time or resources for the above two methods.

The trick is to find that sweet spot and cook your calamari justlong enough until it is nice and edible on the inside, while fresh and crispy on the outside.
